"So Long Boys" is the first segment of the sixth episode (and the eleventh story overall) of Close Enough.

Synopsis[]

When Emily has a pregnancy scare, Josh considers a vasectomy as Alex embraces fatherhood.

Plot[]

Josh and Emily panic in the bathroom as the latter takes a pregnancy test -a result of what Josh calls "doing their taxes" in their car when the housemates and Candice accidentally see them in the act during a surprise party. They try to nervously reassure themselves that they could have another kid, despite having no money and sharing a cramped apartment with a divorced couple. Josh even says he could give up his video game designer dreams and get a second job, and Emily then panics that it could be triplets, not helped by Josh handing her a magazine to calm hee down which ends up having Octomom on it. To their relief, the test comes back negative.

To take precaution, as they aren’t in a good financial position to have another kid, Josh decides to get a vasectomy- a decision he celebrates with a party at the apartment with his coworkers and the roommates. Emily tells Bridgette she appreciates Josh being responsible.
