Plot overview[]
"From JG Quintel, creator of the Emmy® winning REGULAR SHOW, comes CLOSE ENOUGH, a surreal animated comedy about a married couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their two divorced best friends/roommates, all sharing a cramped apartment on the eastside [sic] of Los Angeles. They navigate a chaotic time in their 30s as they struggle to grow up without growing old. It’s about juggling work, kids, and pursuing your dreams, all while avoiding alien fitness cults, yacht-rock vampires, and silent film era bison. Their life may not be ideal, but for now, it's close enough."

On February 10, 2021, the series was officially renewed for a third season.[1]
On July 13, 2021, it was revealed on the podcast "Wisecrack's The Squanch: a Rick & Morty podcast" by Sierra Katow that writing for season 3 had been wrapped.
On January 29, 2022, it was confirmed on Twitter by Head Writer; Bill Oakley that production for season 3 had been wrapped.
On March 14, 2022, it was revealed that the season would premiere on April 7, 2022.
On July 15, 2022, the series was cancelled by HBO Max, making Season 3 the final season.[2]
