The first season of Close Enough will contain a total of 13 episodes and will be released in July 9, 2020 on HBO Max. [1]
Plot overview
The series is described a surreal take on transitioning from twentysomething to thirtysomething. The show revolves around a married couple juggling such everyday challenges as parenthood, friendship, ham theft, stripper clowns and choosing the right day care.
Production
Development
The series was originally picked up in July 2017 for a 2018 release on TBS. The series never ended up airing and no new announcement was made since.
In October 2019, during the HBO Max upfront, it was revealed that the series would instead be released on the service.
On May 13, 2020, it was revealed the series would premiere on July 9, 2020.
